You will feel like you are in paradise with this Hawaiian Luau Shrimp recipe! First of all, it is so easy to prepare, that in itself is paradise...leaving you more time to sip on a pina colada! Not to mention, the tropical flavors of the hawaiian luau marinade and pinapple slices....Mmm....Paradise for sure!
These would be great for your next Hawaiian themed party. For this I would definetly use wooden skewers and serve on very colorful plates with rice as a side dish. Mmm mmm! Your guests will love it!
2 lbs large raw peeled and deveined shrimp
1 (1.25oz) pkg Grill Mates Hawaiian Luau marinade
1 (16 oz) Fresh Pineapple Slices (can usually find in the produce section)Cut into 1" chunks
1/2 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
Prepare marinade according to package directions. Add shrimp to marinade, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Using a slotted spoon, remove shrimp from marinade and slide onto skewers alternating with pineapple. (If using wooden skewers, pre-soak skewers for at least 30 minutes).
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Place shrimp skewers on grill rack and grill 2 - 3 minutes per side, or until shrimp turns pink. Sprinkle with cilantro.
