Shrimp Cocktail Recipe

Here is a really easy Shrimp Cocktail Recipe to use for your next party. To make this recipe even quicker, purchase pre-cooked shrimp, already peeled and deveined. (Not how I recommend buying it if you read my How To Buy Shrimp page but I know sometimes we just need convenience.)

Ingredients:

1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1 to 2 tsp. prepared horseradish
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
36 cooked medium Shrimp, chilled

Directions:

Mix chili sauce, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a small bowl; cover and refrigerate until chilled.

To serve:

Fill large bowl with crushed ice and place a dish of sauce in center. Arrange Shrimp on ice. Serve with wooden picks for dipping Shrimp into sauce. (If you have a deep serving tray (one with high sides) you can use this. Place ice cubes in a plastic bag, double up the bags if needed, and break up the ice with a hammer. Now you can fill the bottom of your tray with nice crushed ice and place your shrimp on this instead of ice cubes.

Keep any extra shrimp chilled in the refrigerator and replenish serving dish a needed. The colder the shrimp stays the better it will be. It keeps the shrimp nice and firm.
