Garlic Shrimp Pasta with Shallots and White Wine

In the mood for Garlic Shrimp? Try this delicious Garlic Shrimp Pasta recipe for your dinner tonight.

For the fresh pasta this recipe calls for you can check your local grocery store for it. It can usually be found in a refrigerated case by the deli or dairy section)

Be sure to only use raw shrimp with this recipe or any recipe that calls for raw shrimp. If you use precooked shrimp it will become too tough in the recipe.

I also recommend only using butter. It gives it a richer flavor and you will enjoy it more vs. using margarine.

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh pasta like linguine 
10-12oz frozen raw or fresh raw shrimp 
1 whole shallot
2 large cloves garlic
3 T butter 
1 c good white wine
salt to taste

Instructions:

Chop garlic and shallot finely

Start pasta boiling as directed. When done drain.

Saute garlic and shallot in 2 T butter until soft

Peel and devein shrimp

Add shrimp to garlic-shallot mixture and saute until pink and cooked through, stirring occassionally

When the shrimp are half cooked, add the wine and let it boil approx. 3 minutes.

Take the drained pasta, Place the pasta in a warmed serving dish and toss with the remaining 1 T butter. Add shrimp mixture to the pasta and serve.
